Sdevops in Rolling Meadows, IL seeks a Principal Data Engineer to guide the data team and set technical direction. The role focuses on mentoring engineers, driving scalable ETL pipelines, and delivering robust data solutions that align with business goals.

You will work closely with developers and business stakeholders, optimize query performance, design data schemas, and leverage AWS services such as Redshift, EMR, RDS, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, and CDK in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualificações

• Master's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 12+ years of experience with open source databases.
• 10+ years of experience with ETL and data pipeline technologies.
• Proficient in open source SQL systems, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Python and Ruby.
• Experience with cloud-based ETL tools including EMR.
• Experience with distributed data stores and Redshift; optimize query performance.
• Deep understanding of data structures and schema design.
• Experience with AWS ecosystem: RDS, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, CDK.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work in fast-paced Agile environments.
• Ability to learn quickly.
