Job summary

United States Senate Federal Credit Union seeks an experienced Data Engineer to lead greenfield financial systems development. You’ll architect and build scalable data platforms for customer data management, transactions, and analytics in a dynamic, smaller team environment.

You’ll own data pipelines, warehouses, BI, and AI integration while collaborating across departments to deliver innovative financial solutions with strong governance and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related.
• 3 years of data engineering experience with SQL, ETL, and data warehousing.
• Experience in cloud data architecture and engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, Spark, or Java for data processing.
• Strong communication and leadership experience driving projects.
• Ability to design scalable data platforms and discuss data governance.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development and Automation: design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines.
• Database and Data Warehouse Management: implement and manage SQL databases and data warehouses.
• AI Agent Evaluation and Observability: build evaluation pipelines and monitor agent performance.
• Business Intelligence and Reporting: model data for leadership and operational metrics.
• Product Innovation and Team Collaboration: work with product and engineering to integrate AI into products.
• Compliance & Security: ensure data handling meets regulations and implement security controls.
