Job summary

Centene Corporation seeks a senior Data Engineer Lead to drive the development and operation of data pipelines, enabling ingestion, transformation, validation, and orchestration for BI analytics.

The role oversees data engineers, crafting large-scale data structures, and ensuring data quality across Centene’s environments. Strong SQL, Snowflake, and Databricks experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
• 5–7 years of related experience or equivalent experience reflected by accomplishments

Responsibilities

• Leads the design and implementation of standardized data management procedures around data staging, data ingestion, data preparation, data provisioning, and data destruction.
• Leads data engineers and provides advanced experience in the design, development, implementation, testing, documenting, and operating of large-scale data structures for BI analytics.
• Leads the team using advanced experience in the design, development, and maintenance of real-time processing applications and real-time data pipelines.
• Ensure quality of technical solutions as data moves across Centene’s environments.
• Develops, constructs, tests, and maintains architectures using advanced programming language and tools.
• Leads and implements ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality; identify automation opportunities.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.
