Job summary

Daikin Applied in Plymouth, MN, the world’s largest HVAC company, seeks a Data Engineer III to lead analytics in our R&D lab. You will own data systems, develop automation, dashboards, and ML models to uncover insights and support quality and engineering decisions.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in data analytics/science/engineering, 5+ years of experience, Python and SQL, Power BI, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data-related field as listed in the qualifications.
• 5+ years of analytics or data science experience; 3+ years with a master's.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation and analysis.
• Power BI Desktop and Power BI Cloud Services experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop data automation strategy and roadmap with Digital, Quality and Engineering teams.
• Develop, publish, and enhance dashboards tracking KPIs for lab operations and quality.
• Write, validate, and maintain scripts to automate data collection and reporting.
• Create ML and statistical models to detect trends and anomalies in lab data.
• Collaborate with Test Engineering, Quality, and Digital teams; share documentation and train peers.
