Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep Google Cloud Platform expertise to design and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines. The role emphasizes cloud-native data engineering, distributed processing, and data governance while leading DevOps practices and data engineering standards.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on proficiency in GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Composer), Spark/Beam, and Terraform, with 8+ years in data engineering

Qualifications

  • GCP Certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer).
  • Experience with real-time processing, Vertex AI, or multi-cloud environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Eng, or related field.
  • 8+ years in data engineering or big data technologies.
  • Strong programming: SQL, Python, Java/Scala.
  • Hands-on with Spark, Beam; GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Composer.
  • DevOps practices: CI/CD, Git, IaC (Terraform).
  • Data modeling, ETL/ELT, cloud data architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms and data pipelines.
  • Lead best practices across the data engineering organization.
  • Work with real-time processing and multi-cloud environments.
