Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Junior Data Migration Engineer to execute data migration tasks, build ETL/ELT pipelines, and support validation efforts under guidance from senior engineers. The role involves developing data mappings, performing validations, and collaborating on migration testing for large-scale data projects.

You will work with SQL, Python, and ETL tools in an Azure environment, ensuring data quality and accurate migrations across complex systems.

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL tuning and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools (Informatica) and data platforms.
  • Understanding of data modeling and databases.
  • Familiarity with large complex system design.
  • Public Cloud experience (Azure preferred).
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading tasks.
  • Assist in defining data mappings and transformation rules.
  • Execute data validation and reconciliation checks.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues.
