Job summary

Experis is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Las Vegas, NV to lead end-to-end Teradata modernization efforts and migration to Azure/Databricks. You will guide cross-functional teams across gaming, loyalty, and resort domains, shaping the data architecture and governance framework.

You will collaborate with onshore/offshore delivery teams, translate complex technical topics for senior leadership, and drive data quality, KPI alignment, and analytics outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale Teradata modernization or migrations in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services including Azure Data Lake Storage; experience with Azure Databricks and Spark.
• Excellent SQL skills guiding data profiling, transformation, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience managing multi-workstream delivery programs with onshore and offshore teams, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical topics into clear, business-friendly language for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end migration of Teradata workloads to Azure/Databricks across multiple business domains.
• Coordinate delivery teams, stakeholders, and technology partners to modernize the data ecosystem for personalization, revenue optimization, and analytics.
• Establish and maintain disciplined delivery governance aligned with PMO, including risk management, status reporting, and operational readiness.
• Guide technical teams in migration planning and alignment to target-state Azure data architecture.
• Drive data profiling, validation, and KPI alignment to ensure data quality and analytics confidence.
