Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data products enabling informed decision-making across internal teams. The role guides end-to-end data pipelines, strengthens data quality, and helps set engineering standards for a high-performing data environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 6+ years of experience building production data pipelines and consumer-facing models.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with a hands-on approach.
• Experience with Databricks and Spark-based lakehouses, including Delta Lake.
• Deep understanding of dimensional modeling techniques.
• Proven technical leadership experience in a data engineering context.
• Experience managing data dependencies between teams.

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead the design and delivery of scalable data products that support internal consumers and business decision-making. You will guide the end-to-end lifecycle of data pipelines, strengthen data quality and reliability, and help set the engineering standards that support a high-performing data environment. The position also partners closely with product and delivery leadership to keep milestones on track and to ensure data dependencies are managed effectively across teams.

Compensation: $109,500 - $167,833 annually
