Job summary

HVAC RNTL is seeking a Lead Data Center Technician with advanced technical skills to independently layout and install Data Center equipment. The role includes leading a team of technicians on customer sites, performing startup, and liaising with Operations, Sales, and Project Managers to ensure smooth deployment.

The candidate should have 5+ years of related experience, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to travel for site work and training. OSHA 10 is required; OSHA 30 is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10 training (OSHA 30 preferred) before Data Center work.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install Data Center equipment independently.
• Travel to Data Center sites as required.
• Perform startup of Data Center equipment and communicate outcomes to customers.
• Conduct depot maintenance, testing and repairs of Data Center equipment, including liquid cooled load banks.
• Lead a team of installers/technicians on multiple Data Center projects.
• Train current and new hires on equipment and procedures.
