Job summary

The Weitz Company is hiring a Mission Critical Plus (MC+) Project Superintendent for retrofit, upgrade, and tenant improvement work in Northern Virginia data centers. You will lead field operations, enforce a strong safety culture, and collaborate with the Project Manager to manage schedule, budget, and staff in live facilities.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of project construction supervision required.
• Experience in data center/mission-critical environments preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Familiarity with electrical, cooling, and data center infrastructure systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce a strong safety culture on site.
• Oversee daily field operations to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and facilities teams to protect active operations.
• Plan, schedule, labor forecasting, site logistics, and self-performed work.
• Lead subcontractor coordination and preconstruction meetings; maintain clear communications.
• Monitor costs, track progress, and support forecasting and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage field documentation, RFIs, submittals, and approvals.
• Build relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Support staff development, hiring, and business development as needed.
• Execute closeout activities and drive continuous improvement.
