Job summary

Aligned Data Centers is seeking a Lead Critical Facilities Maintenance Technician in Sterling, VA. The role combines hands-on maintenance with supervisory responsibilities to ensure reliable critical facility operations.

The Lead reports to the Maintenance Program Manager and guides technicians while upholding safety and quality standards. Key duties include coordinating training, managing schedules, overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring timely completion of work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical certs preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in facility maintenance with critical systems experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to interact with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance activities, sync with program manager, plan preventive and corrective work.
• Provide hands-on support for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire systems and safety tasks.
• Maintain CMMS records and inventory levels with accuracy.
• Lead safety compliance and ensure adherence to SOPs and ERP procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and drive continuous improvement in response procedures.
