Job summary

Submer - Datacenters That Make Sense is seeking a Lead Data Center Delivery Engineer to drive hands-on deployments of modular data centers in Houston. You will lead two project teams across India and the US, coordinating development and field execution to ensure site-ready, validated installations.

The role requires engineering experience with data center deployments, MEP/electrical and mechanical systems, and on-site leadership. Travel to deployment locations is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related) or equivalent hands-on field experience.
• Direct, hands-on experience deploying and commissioning data centers, on the product itself, not solely in an oversight role.
• Strong working knowledge of MEP systems and practical experience integrating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing on live sites.
• Hands-on competence in electrical systems: power distribution and safe work practices in a data center environment.
• Hands-on competence in mechanical systems: cooling loops, pumps, heat exchangers, and fluid handling.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, CREO or SolidWorks; system integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead two project teams across two geographies (India and US) and own handoffs between teams.
• Oversee end-to-end deployment execution from site readiness to handover to customer.
• Own MEP integration and validate designs against site conditions, adjusting in the field.
• Drive commissioning, troubleshooting, and safe work practices on site.
