Job summary

Eaton's Distributed IT division seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead HAC product development at our Worcester, MA site. You will design modular containment systems, create 3D CAD models and drawings, and perform structural/CFD analyses to optimize data center thermal performance and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Manufacturing to deliver cost-effective solutions while driving standardization and quality improvements in a lean environment.

Qualifications

• BSME from an accredited institution with 3+ years of relevant experience or an associate degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing Data Center Hot Aisle Containment systems including doors and panels.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and production drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of HAC product platforms through a structured NPD process.
• Design and validate containment systems and interfaces.
• Create 3D CAD models and production drawings
• Perform structural, FEA, and CFD analyses to validate designs
• Lead verification and validation testing for performance and compliance
• Collaborate with Product Mgmt, Sales, Manufacturing, Suppliers and Customers
