Job summary

Suffolk Construction in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Commissioning Manager to oversee the installation, commissioning, maintenance and documentation of MEP assets across the project lifecycle. The role requires deep MEP knowledge, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality.

You will supervise field teams, coordinate with Project Management, and ensure schedules and budgets are met. Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in MEP commissioning are required, with BIM and building automation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in applicable discipline and/or experience relative to specific discipline.
10+ years of experience in MEP installation, commissioning and maintenance.
Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems including building automation systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, etc.
Strong knowledge of BIM and its use in coordination of MEP systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee, manage, and document all day-to-day commissioning activities including OSHA safety compliance.
Direct field personnel according to the project plan and Suffolk supervisory principles.
Coordinate and supervise testing of MEP systems and validation of component interconnection with DDC controls.
Maintain the project schedule and ensure work aligns with contract requirements.
Establish effective working relationships with clients and Suffolk team members.
