Job summary

C5MI is seeking a Lead Data Architect to own the enterprise data architecture for a large-scale, greenfield SAP S/4HANA program supporting financial, logistics, asset, and organizational data. You will lead the data architecture and master data team, establish governance, and ensure data quality and lineage across deployments.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of enterprise data architecture and data management experience.
• 2-5 years of people leadership experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 10-14 years without a degree.
• Experience owning data architecture for at least one full lifecycle ERP implementation.
• Expertise in data modeling, canonical data models, data lineage, and data quality management.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one (U.S. citizenship).
• Experience with SAP MDG and SAP data migration tooling.
• Experience supporting federal ERP modernization programs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced certifications valued.

Responsibilities

• Owns target-state enterprise data architecture for multiple master data domains.
• Leads and develops the data architecture and master data team; ensures performance.
• Establishes master data governance operating model, data quality rules, and workflows.
• Owns legacy data migration architecture, including source profiling and mapping governance.
• Defines data validation criteria for mock conversions and production readiness.
• Designs data structures aligning financial objects to reporting hierarchies.
• Governs analytics and data fabric architecture for enterprise reporting.
• Partners with solution and cloud architects to ensure secure, scalable designs.
• Mentors data practitioners to raise governance maturity.
• Travel up to 50% to client sites as needed.
