Job summary

The Ascent Group, LLC seeks a Principal Data Architect to lead data architecture across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure data platforms, and enterprise applications. You will shape data models, integration patterns, governance, and analytics enablement for ERP, CRM, MES, and PLM systems.

You will define enterprise data architecture, design data models, APIs, Dataverse, ETL/ELT, and event-driven patterns, align with Azure data warehouse/lakehouse, and champion data quality, lineage, and MDMM

Qualifications

10+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise architecture.
Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP/CRM experience.
Experience with D365 integrations and data models.
Strong Azure experience: Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Data Lake.
Experience with Dataverse, APIs, middleware, and data modeling.
Strong understanding of data governance and data quality.

Responsibilities

Define enterprise data architecture across D365, ERP, CRM, MES, and PLM.
Design data models and integration patterns using APIs, Dataverse, ETL/ELT, and event-driven architecture.
Align operational systems with Azure data warehouse/lakehouse platforms.
Support data quality, governance, MDM, lineage, analytics, and AI initiatives.
Reduce data silos and point-to-point integrations.
Partner with engineering, application, and business teams.
