Job summary

Owens & Minor seeks a Senior Data Solutions Architect to design and advance the enterprise data and AI architecture, enabling scalable, secure, business-driven solutions. You will partner with leaders across engineering, security, analytics, and operations to define platforms, AI capabilities, and integration strategies that accelerate decision-making and excellence.

The role requires deep expertise in data architecture, cloud platforms, AI technologies, and governance, with hands-on delivery

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data architecture, enterprise architecture, analytics platforms or software engineering.
• 3+ years designing AI, machine learning or advanced analytics solutions.
• Experience defining Enterprise AI strategies and governance programs.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures and AI orchestration.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture and modern data platforms.
• Proven success leading complex enterprise technology initiatives.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end enterprise data and AI solution architectures.
• Lead design reviews and ensure adherence to architecture standards.
• Provide architectural leadership and hands-on problem solving.
• Define patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Develop prototypes and reference implementations to validate approaches.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate designs into implementable solutions.
• Maintain governance, privacy, security, and compliance considerations.
