Job summary

NeoGenomics is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor for the Cytogenetics department in Aliso Viejo, CA. The role focuses on day-to-day supervision of laboratory operations, ensuring accuracy and reliability of high complexity testing, and strict adherence to SOPs and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with at least four years of pertinent laboratory experience, including two years in a clinical lab with a doctoral-level director
• Bachelor's degree with at least six years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience, including two years with a doctoral-level director
• Six+ years of high complexity testing experience preferred
• Three+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• ASCP certification in the assigned specialty and applicable state licenses (CA/FL/TN) when available

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and reliability of all laboratory services in the department
• Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, personnel and performance metrics
• Develop and maintain detailed SOPs and ensure procedures reflect current processes
• Provide direct supervision of staff performing high complexity testing and reporting results
• Initiate and monitor QC programs and ensure regulatory compliance
• Hire, train and manage laboratory personnel and maintain training records
• Assist in budgeting and cost control and prepare departmental reports
