Job summary

The MITRE Corporation is seeking Lead Cybersecurity Engineers for the Fort Meade/Ft Meade area to lead cyber operations initiatives, collaborate with government sponsors, and develop innovative TTPs. This role requires strong leadership, engineering expertise, and the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable deliverables.

Applicants should have 8+ years of related experience with a relevant degree and hold or be eligible for TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, systems engineering, intelligence or related field preferred
• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s; or PhD with relevant experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering, mission engineering, cyber operations, intelligence support to cyber operations, or capability development
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Hybrid onsite Fort Meade presence required with on-site SCIF work and sponsor engagements, U.S. Citizenship, and TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

• Produce technical work products including written reports, models, and system diagrams
• Develop and engineer innovative cyber operations strategies, prototypes, TTPs
• Communicate vision and strategy to MITRE leadership and government representatives to improve cyber operations
• Collaborate with MITRE personnel to implement strategy, TTPs, and transition prototypes
• Research technology innovations to improve operational outcomes
