Job summary

KAISER is seeking a Specialty Unit Charge RN for the Hospital CVOR in Anaheim, CA. The role leads the nursing team, ensures safe patient care, and coordinates department operations in alignment with Kaiser policies and state regulations.

The Charge RN demonstrates professional leadership, mentors staff, and actively participates in patient flow, quality initiatives, and cross‑functional collaboration within the CVOR environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Charge Nurse or CVOR course knowledge.
• Registered Nurse with California license and ACLS/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Directs reviews, assigns and organizes the work of 3+ staff including at least one RN.
• Applies Kaiser mission and values to daily practice and sets department priorities.
• Leads department operations to ensure safe, quality patient care.
• Ensures compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coaches staff, precepts new employees, and supports inter-department collaboration.
• Manages patient flow and facilitates admission/discharge processes.
• Participates in staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Leads quality improvement activities and unit-based teams.
