Job summary

Chico's in Slidell, LA is seeking a Lead Customer Specialist to create a welcoming, customer-centered environment and act as Manager on Duty when needed. You will lead the team, elevate the customer experience, and represent Chico's hospitality.

You will share product knowledge, outfit customers, build long-term relationships, and uphold brand standards while ensuring operational guidelines are followed. 18+ and 1+ year retail experience preferred.

About the role

As Lead Customer Specialist, your focus is on delivering a welcoming, customer-centered environment that reflects Chico's culture of hospitality. This role operates as the Manager on Duty in the absence of another manager, leading the team and elevating the customer experience.

• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.

• Build connections with the local community through events, outreach, and initiatives that expand Chico's presence.

You'll bring to the role

• Passion for our brand, fashion, and empowering confidence.


• Must be at least 18 years old.


• 1+ year retail experience preferred.


• Flexible availability - including nights, weekends, holidays.


• Demonstrates an ownership mindset and leads by example.


• Effective leadership, people management, and communication skills.


• Collaborative leadership style that invests in the process of developing talent.


• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
