Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. is seeking a Lead Customer Specialist in San Antonio, TX. You will act as Manager on Duty, delivering a welcoming, customer-centered environment and guiding the team to provide outstanding service.

You will share product knowledge, drive sales, and maintain visual standards while fostering community connections. Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of retail experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Initiate authentic conversations with customers to understand needs and provide personalized service.

• Maintain a visually appealing store environment in line with brand standards and promotions.

About The Role

As Lead Customer Specialist, your focus is on delivering a welcoming, customer-centered environment that reflects Chico's culture of hospitality. This role operates as the Manager on Duty in the absence of another manager, leading the team and elevating the customer experience.

• Cultivate long-term customer relationships through proactive outreach about new products, promotions, and in-store events.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment that reflects brand standards.
• Actively share brand priorities, initiatives, and messages with store teams.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by embracing teamwork and collaboration.
• Build connections with the local community through events, outreach, and initiatives that expand Chico's presence.

You'll bring to the role

• Passion for our brand, fashion, and empowering confidence.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1+ year retail experience preferred.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Demonstrates an ownership mindset and leads by example.
• Effective leadership, people management, and communication skills.
• Collaborative leadership style that invests in the process of developing talent.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
