Job summary

Northeast Grocery in Burlington, VT is seeking a Guest Service Associate to greet guests, provide friendly, helpful and safe shopping experiences, and maintain a neat work area. You will support the Guest Service Supervisor and help protect cash and store assets.

Responsibilities include processing guest transactions, training teammates, assisting with daily cash and sales activities, communicating new policies, and upholding our dress code and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Secure guest service area and related items at shift end.
• Communicate new policies or promotions to guests.
• Train and coach Guest Service teammates to ensure great guest experience.
• Assist in daily cash and sales activities.

To be the advocate for our guests and consistently meet our guests’ expectations by providing a friendly, helpful, easy, and safe shopping experience. Responsible for projecting oneself in a professional manner and maintaining a neat and clean work area at all times. Responsible for assisting the Guest Service Supervisor in the supervision of the Guest Service area. Responsible for accurately processing all guest transactions and maintaining proper security of the Guest Service area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible to greet, make eye contact, and “Thank” each guest that you service.

Responsible for delivering a friendly, helpful, easy, and safe shopping experience, that meets our guests’ expectation.

Responsible for projecting oneself in a professional manner in accordance with our dress code and personal grooming policy.

Responsible for working in a safe manner and for maintaining a neat and clean work area at all times in accordance with our policies and procedures.

Responsible for assisting the Assistant Customer Service Team Leader - Office in the supervision of the Guest Service area.

Responsible for assisting the Assistant Customer Service Team Leader - Office with daily cash and sales activities.

Responsible for training and coaching Guest Service teammates in order to ensure that we are delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our guests.

Responsible for accurately processing all guest transactions including but not limited to check cashing, bill payment, ATM transactions, Lottery, Western Union.

Responsible for ensuring that the Guest Service area and related items are properly secured while working and at the end of each shift.

Responsible for communicating new policies or promotional programs to our guests.

Responsible for performing other related duties as assigned by management and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
