Job summary

Grand Rapids Building Services Inc is seeking a Custodian Lead for Ionia Public Schools in Lyons, MI. This full-time role runs 3:00pm-11:30pm, Monday through Friday, with one weekend per month and 40 hours per week. Pay is $16.00/hour with benefits and growth opportunities within GRBS.

You will lead the cleaning team, ensure high standards, and use GRBS tools to complete nightly tasks while maintaining safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with valid ID.
• Leadership experience required.
• Background screening per Michigan public school requirements (no theft, violence, or drug-related offenses).

Responsibilities

• Execute the clean building process with GRBS tools.
• Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable.
• Oversee nightly perimeter door checks.
• Coordinate with site to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Complete 360 communication with the team.
• Support cleaning tasks as needed.
