Job summary

27J Schools is seeking a supervising custodian to manage cleaning and maintenance at Brantner Elementary School (K-5) as part of a 12-month schedule. The role includes directing up to five staff, training crews, and ensuring safe, clean facilities for students and staff.

Qualifications include First Aid/CPR, OSHA/HazMat training within required timelines, and ability to lift heavy loads. Competitive hourly wage with benefits eligibility is offered.

Qualifications

• First Aid and CPR certifications must be obtained within 6 months after hire.
• OSHA training, HazMat licensing, and BOCES training required within 1 year after hire.
• Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds.
• Pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and background checks (Colorado/FBI).

Responsibilities

• Direct supervising of up to 5 employees at the assigned school.
• Instruct and train crewmembers on cleaning and building management techniques.
• Oversee staff, handle discipline, and evaluate subordinates.
• Perform cleaning duties: vacuum, mop, sanitize bathrooms, and dust surfaces.
• Monitor hallways for safety, report hazards, and assist during events.
• Inspect and repair facilities, replace bulbs, and manage supplies inventory.
