Job Title: Custodian

GENERAL FUNCTION: Under moderate supervision, performs janitorial duties involving cleaning and sanitizing assigned work areas. Work may involve physical demands and related tasks as required.

HOURS: M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm

SALARY: $18.54/hr

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleans, sweeps, dusts, mops, washes, vacuums, polishes, and waxes floors.
• Cleans windows, woodwork, furniture, and equipment.
• Cleans toilet facilities and maintains restrooms with supplies.
• Collects and disposes of trash.
• Moves light furniture and equipment to complete cleaning tasks.
• Follows instructions concerning various chemicals.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Moderate supervision under standard operating procedures; may work autonomously with supervisor support.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Ability to train others in daily tasks.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Understanding and following verbal or written instructions.
• Physical ability to perform assigned work.
• Knowledge of housekeeping best practices, tools, equipment, and supplies.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED; experience helpful.
