THE BUDD GROUP is looking for a motivated Team Player to join our Ranks!

Job Title: Lead Custodian

Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Location: Charleston, SC (Historic Downtown)

Pay: $18.00/hr

Job Summary

The school Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of buildings and grounds. This includes cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other areas. The Custodian also performs minor maintenance tasks and assists with setting up for events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other areas
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles
• Restock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Assist with setting up for events, such as moving furniture and arranging chairs
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial work, must understand the basic process of Housekeeping
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying heavy objects up to 50 pounds
• The Custodian must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time.
• The Custodian must have good manual dexterity.
• Must be able to climb ladders to change ceiling tiles
