Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, governmental or similar environment.
• Or six months general work experience plus one year custodial/janitorial experience.
• Or six months as Custodial Worker I in Nevada State service or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms and other facilities on a regular schedule.
• Dust, vacuum, mop floors and wipe surfaces; empty trash and recycling bins.
• Refill restroom and cleaning supplies; report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
• Operate cleaning equipment and follow safety guidelines; assist with events or special projects.
• Maintain logs and supplies records; provide security that buildings are secured when appropriate.
