Job summary

Wilkes University is seeking a Lead Refresh Custodial Worker to manage daily cleaning operations across campus facilities from Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. The role includes leading assigned staff, performing restroom and office cleaning, and assisting with event setups and light maintenance.

A high school diploma or GED and a PA driver’s license are required. The position offers a competitive starting hourly rate and a generous benefits package including employee and dependent tuition

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid PA driver’s license required.
• Proficient technical skills and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily refresh/detail cleaning of restrooms, common areas, conference and meeting rooms, halls and offices.
• Lead, train, and provide daily direction to assigned staff; assign, monitor, and assist with cleaning duties.
• Provide cleaning and sanitation services using light floor machines and attachments (vacuum, buffers, carpet extractors).
• Assist with event setups and seasonal grounds maintenance as needed.
• Transport garbage and recyclables from campus locations.
