Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Lead CT Technologist to produce high-quality CT images and coordinate note-worthy data for Radiologists. You will verify orders, prepare patients, and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards across CT and PET operations.

You will mentor CT staff, monitor performance metrics, and support accreditation activities, while maintaining inventory and facilitating smooth daily workflows.

Qualifications

• VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for outpatient facilities.
• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB registered with CT capability.
• Advanced ARRT or NMTCB CT certification is required.
• American Heart Association CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for CT examinations by verifying orders and patient identity.
• Performs CT exams across patient ages and maintains competency.
• Reviews daily patient schedule and ensures proper documentation before visits.
• Serves as preceptor to newly hired CT staff and maintains training.
• Reports CT/PET department Press Ganey scores and creates action plans when goals fall short.
• Provides daily volume and wait time reports and end-of-month dashboards.
• Maintains ACR program requirements for CT and assists in re-accreditation.
• Reports technic quality and reviews image quality for diagnostic accuracy.
• Conducts research and implements new CT/PET programs and tools.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
