Responsibilities
  • Maintain inventory of materials and supplies, recommending procurement as needed.
  • Provide instruction and training to technologists and auxiliary staff.
  • Allocate work assignments and participate in staff training.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all equipment and accessories.
  • Manage schedules, timekeeping, and on-call coverage.
  • Maintain radiation safety standards throughout the department.
  • Perform complex CT procedures and evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality.
  • Gather relevant patient information and prepare scanning protocols accordingly.
  • Ensure patient preparation and safety measures are followed.
  • Assist with CT-guided interventional procedures.
  • Perform CT examinations, administer contrast, and provide patient instructions.
  • Monitor patient condition during procedures and review images for diagnostic value.
  • Perform retrospective data reconstruction and provide training to students and staff.
  • Adhere to infection control and sterile techniques.
  • Adjust scanning parameters to optimize pathology visualization.
  • Document all diagnostic and therapeutic data accurately.
  • Archive images and assess equipment performance regularly.
  • Complete clerical duties using hospital systems like EPIC, PACS, etc.
  • Greet patients and provide care following AIDET standards.
  • Administer emergency care including CPR if necessary.
  • Work scheduled shifts, including holidays and weekends, with on-call as needed.
  • Support patient-specific care modifications based on age, culture, and needs.
  • Perform daily and monthly quality assurance checks.
  • Other duties as assigned, adhering to organizational standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; completion of AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in modality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Licenses and Certifications
  • ARRT (CT) certification.
  • NJ state license for Diagnostic Radiology.
  • CPR/BLS certification within 60 days of employment.
