Job summary

Mercyhealth in Illinois is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures, prepare and administer contrast, and review clinical history to ensure correct scans.

You will educate patients, maintain aseptic technique, operate CT and PACS, document in EMR, and flex shifts including weekends and holidays. ARRT CT certification and a radiography credential are required, with 3–5 years of CT experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• 3–5 years of CT experience preferred.
• AR RT CT certification required; ARRT Radiography registration required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic CT procedures and administers contrast.
• Reviews patient history to ensure correct scan, and discusses with radiologist as needed.
• Educates patients and provides instruction for students/partners.
• Maintains aseptic technique and initiates basic life support when necessary.
• Operates CT scanner, documents in EMR, and adheres to ALARA principles.
