We are looking for a Lead CT Technologist to join our Imaging Team!

Duties and Responsibilities :

The CT Lead performs exams and oversees day to day operations of the Imaging-CT Department including patient flow and quality assurance. This role is responsible for monitoring images to ensure high quality exams. The CT lead works under the

direction of the radiologists to establish appropriate protocols. This position provides input and data relative to staff regarding individual exam quality for QA purposes. The Lead technologist performs CT exams which meet the department’s standard of quality as required.

Job specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Directly supervises clinical staff within the department:
  • Develops new employee orientation within department.
  • Performs initial and regular competencies of clinical staff to assure clinical standards are met and maintained.
  • Mentors and counsels staff to include assisting with performance improvement plans.
  • Maintains up-to-date protocol & procedure manual specific to their modality. Communicates changes & disseminates information to their fellow technologists
  • Develops the CT staffing schedules in collaboration with the Lead radiology technologist to include time-off requests, planned absences and unplanned absences
  • Assures adequate staffing levels
  • Coordinates and /or monitors staffing hours to minimize overtime while maintaining adequate staffing levels.
  • Collaborates with Department Director and Imaging Coordinator on designing, implementing and sustaining workflows to improve the practice daily, operational efficiency, provider and staff satisfaction and patient experience.
  • Acts as first line resource for staff and physicians.
  • Fosters intradepartmental support and collaboration
  • Champions organizational and departmental quality care initiatives
  • Communicates with patients to address and resolve patient complaints.
  • Assists in hiring and performance management of technical staff.
  • Support of ACR accreditation process
  • Leads and oversees quality initiatives (QAPI)
  • Acts as a resource and facilitator regarding compliance with CT policies and procedures.
  • Policy and procedure review including development of supportive workflows.
  • Monitors and orders inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Licensure/Certifications/Qualifications:

  • Graduate from accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Certified by ARRT (American College of Radiologic Technology) with CT certification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as CT technologist
  • Serving in a former Lead or Supervisory role preferred
