South Texas Health System is seeking a CT Technologist to assist the Radiology Department in daily operations and to perform CT scans with quality control. The role requires MRT licensure in Texas and ARRT CT certification, with a minimum of five years CT experience and adherence to compliance standards.
Responsibilities include patient screening, coordinating with radiologists on orders, and supporting care transitions while working weekends, evenings, and on-call as needed.
POSITION SUMMARY: Assists the Department Director / Supervisor in all daily departmental operations; Performs and oversees Computed Tomography procedures performed in the Radiology Department; Performs quality control procedures as required by the manufacturer; Evaluates all orders, verifies them with radiologist, and ensures the proper exam is performed. Properly screens all patients to ensure there are no contraindications to oral or intravenous contrast media. Responsible for interacting with hospital staff and/or nursing departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in the resolutions. Responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills. Routinely works weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and/or on an on-call/call-back status, when needed.
