Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in preparing and maintaining the operating room and peri-operative care. The role emphasizes developing surgical tech standards and mentoring new staff.

Required CST credential with a high school diploma and an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Minimum 2 years OR experience; 5 years preferred. Sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and completion of a Surgical Technologist program accredited by CAAHEP.
• Two (2) years of OR experience required; five (5) years preferred. Interpersonal skills to direct colleagues; basic computer skills in Word/Excel; ability to scrub independently all cases.

Responsibilities

• Performs surgical procedures and assists with maintaining the OR environment and peri-operative care.
• Develops and promotes surgical technology and practice standards within and outside the OR.
• Serves as a preceptor and provides leadership in problem solving within a collaborative team; supports quality initiatives.
