Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is hiring a CSS Technician to support the Central Sterile Services department. The role involves leading staff, preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments, and ensuring proper decontamination and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years as a CSS Technician, a High School diploma or GED, and CRCST/CBSPD certification. CER preferred. This is an on-site, full-time position with a competitive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years as a CSS Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, observes, prioritizes workflow and leads staff for efficient dept operation.
• Prepares, inspects and assembles surgical instruments and endoscopes for sterilization.
• Collects, cleans and disinfects patient care equipment and instruments from units and OR.
• Monitors quality with documentation of dept records and sterilization results.
• Coordinates orientation and retraining of staff; may fill Supervisory duties.
• Delivers equipment, inventories carts and ensures clean/sterile supplies.
