Job summary

Alexander Youth Network in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Lead Crisis Care Professional to provide therapeutic support to youth ages 11 to 17 in a crisis setting.

The role leads in-ratio supervision on 2nd shift, handles crisis referrals, provides individual and group sessions, and manages a monthly recreation/food budget while coordinating weekly team meetings.

Qualifications include a BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience, a valid NC driver’s license, and being at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. in a related human services or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Six months experience in human services is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The Lead Crisis Care Professional provides therapeutic support to youth ages 11 to 17 in a youth crisis setting.
• Provides in-ratio leadership of the youth shelter.
• You will provide in-ratio Leadership on 2nd shift.
• Process crisis referrals and intakes.
• Serve as a resident advocate, providing referrals, facilitating individual and group sessions and case management.
• Plan and facilitate recreational/psycho-education groups, activities, and outings.
• Manage a monthly recreation/food budget and submit expenses weekly.
• Attend weekly team meetings.
• Participate in monthly on-call rotation.
• This position is a key leadership role on the team. Requires a leader who is self-directed and comfortable with crisis management.
