Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Pullman, WA is seeking a Lead Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team on-site.

You will review customer credit applications, analyze financial statements, set credit limits, and work with stakeholders to resolve disputes, while improving the efficiency of the credit process. The ideal candidate has at least a one-year accounting certificate, 5+ years in accounts receivable or credit management, and strong Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years experience in accounts receivable, credit management, treasury, banking, or general accounting.
• Strong skills in computerized accounting systems, Excel, Word and 10-key calculator.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing customer credit applications, financial statements, and trade references.
• Establishing, reviewing, and adjusting customer credit limits based on financial strength, payment history, projected sales, and overall risk profile.
• Working with internal stakeholders to resolve payment disputes and minimize collection delays.
• Compiling and analyzing reports for internal and external users.
