Butler Creek Animal Hospital in Kennesaw, GA, seeks a Lead Credentialed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled medical care under a veterinarian's direction while mentoring a technical team. This role supports hospital operations and patient care with leadership and collaboration.

With a focus on anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, radiology, and client education, you’ll guide technicians and assistants, improve workflows, and uphold high standards of care within a supportive hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• Current Credentialed Veterinary Technician license in good standing in the applicable state.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a licensed technician with leadership or mentorship experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality patient care under DVM supervision, utilizing advanced technical skills across nursing, anesthesia, surgery, radiology, and dentistry.
• Act as a shift leader and mentor, providing real-time coaching and onboarding support.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to coordinate workflows and implement protocols that improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly to clients and review medical records with pet owners.
• Oversee inventory of medical supplies and pharmacy items and ensure equipment is maintained.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation in patient records using appropriate medical terminology.
