Job summary

Keller Animal Clinic seeks a Lead Credentialed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care under a veterinarian’s supervision and to mentor teammates while supporting hospital operations. You will help ensure top-notch patient care and efficient workflows in a collaborative setting.

Ideal candidates have AVMA-accredited schooling, current licensure, and at least three years of licensed work with leadership experience, plus strong communication in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• Current Credentialed Veterinary Technician license in good standing in the applicable state.
• A minimum of three years of experience as a licensed technician, with demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience preferred.
• Proficiency in advanced technical skills including anesthesia monitoring, surgical assisting, and radiology.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the credentialed team, delivering skilled medical care under DVM supervision.
• Mentor and coach technicians and assistants during shifts.
• Coordinate workflows with hospital leadership to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Clearly communicate treatment plans to clients and review medical records.
• Oversee inventory of medical supplies and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in patient records using medical terminology.
