Job summary

Avison Young is seeking a Lead of Analytics Engineering to drive strategy and execution of proprietary data products for commercial real estate decision makers. You will partner with clients, advisory teams, and leadership to design scalable solutions across portfolio analysis, site and market search, and highest and best use.

The ideal candidate combines deep real estate strategy knowledge with data and product management expertise to translate complex needs into usable products and partner

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial real estate strategy, with at least 5 years working directly with technology, data, and analytics.
• Strong understanding of SQL, data architecture, data pipelines, and geospatial datasets.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Self-starter with proactive and entrepreneurial mindset; able to influence and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle – discovery to launch and iteration – for data products and data science models.
• Develop mathematical and algorithmic approaches to address complex real estate decisions and oversee data teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and product teams to deliver usable data products and validate requirements.
• Manage data and technology vendor relationships through renewals and performance.
• Ensure compliance and responsible data usage and governance across all workflows.
• Guide direction of data products with clients and leadership; support go-to-market activities.
• Define and track success metrics for delivered data products.
