The Foreman links the Port Manager with the field crew, coordinating work, directing loads, and maintaining productivity while ensuring safety and compliance across the facility.

Qualifications

• Significant crane operating experience in marine terminal, industrial, or heavy-equipment environments.
• Prior foreman or crew-leader experience supervising employee teams.
• Strong knowledge of crane operations, rigging, lifting practices and load control.
• Ability to lead while actively involved in day-to-day crane and terminal work.
• Willingness to travel throughout Tennessee and Alabama, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary crane operator for the Ashland City terminal during loading/unloading.
• Oversee lifts involving steel, bulk materials, project cargo and other loads.
• Coordinate barge loading/unloading and preparation for cargo operations.
• Direct cargo handlers and equipment operators; assign daily work and lead crews.
• Ensure proper lifting procedures, safety signals, and terminal operating practices.
• Operate forklifts and other terminal equipment as needed; monitor equipment condition.
• Support with travel planning, crew scheduling, and overall terminal operations.
