White Cap Supply Holdings, LLC. in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Lead Counter Sales Associate to drive exceptional customer service at the counter, manage orders, arrange deliveries, and lead daily operations.

You will train staff, coordinate with supervisors, and help customers find the right products. The role emphasizes upselling, keeping displays stocked, and maintaining strong relationships with walk-in, phone, and will-call customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of counter sales experience
• Experience with sales order systems or ERP tools (e.g., Oracle)
• Solid understanding of construction or industrial products
• Ability to train and support team members
• Strong communication skills and customer relationship building

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates exceptional customer service to walk-in, phone, and will call customers
• Orders products, arranges delivery, and updates customers on order status
• Serves as point of contact for escalation issues
• Provides training and support to new counter staff
• Acts as liaison between supervisor and customers
• Ensures purchase orders are completed
• Upsells by identifying related products and promotions
• Maintains stocked and clean merchandise displays

A Lead Counter Sales Associate at White Cap…

• Demonstrates exceptional customer service to our walk-in, phone, and will call customers.

• Orders products, arranges delivery, contacts customers regarding delivery and updates customers on order status.

• Serves as point of contact for escalation issues.

• Provides training and support to new counter staff.

• Acts as liaison between supervisor and customers.

• Ensures purchase orders are completed.

• Upsells by identifying related products, add-on extensions and making customers aware of product promotions.

• Ensures merchandise displays are stocked and clean.

• Generally, has 7+ years of experience.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience in counter sales, customer service, or a related customer-facing role

• Experience handling complex customer issues or escalations and driving resolution

• Ability to train and support team members while contributing to daily operations

• Proficiency with sales order systems or ERP tools (e.g., Oracle or similar)

• Solid understanding of construction or industrial products and related applications

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, including order processing, customer follow-up, and in-store support

• Proven ability to recommend products, upsell effectively, and support margin goals

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and build customer relationships
