Job summary

California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo is seeking a Lead Coordinator for Student Success Initiatives to oversee the BEACoN Research Program and the CIX student intern team, supporting university-wide efforts to expand student success and equitable access.

Qualifications

• Ability to take initiative and to independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform complex, project oriented administrative and program functions from initiation through completion in situations involving numerous and diverse demands, with full accountability for end results.
• Thorough knowledge of the policies, procedures, and applicable regulations pertaining to the assigned programs, and the ability to learn, interpret, and independently apply a wide variety of university policies and procedures, including in situations where specific guidelines or precedents may not exist.
• Skill in the research, development, and evaluation of program policies and procedures, including the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of operational and participation data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
• Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques, and of budget policies and procedures, including the ability to perform business mathematics, track and reconcile financial data, and make accurate projections using basic statistical and analytical techniques.
• Working knowledge of procurement and financial processes, including purchasing systems, ProCard reconciliation, reimbursements, and vendor and participant payment coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the BEACoN Research Program operations and coordination of program activities from initiation to completion.
• Engage faculty, staff, and student teams; recruit, communicate, and provide programmatic guidance and support.
• Manage the budget, financial processes, and projections to sustain and scale student success initiatives across the university.
• Support cross-campus partnerships and equity initiatives connected to HSIs, BSSI, and Cal Poly Solano campus.
