Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a Cook 4 for our kitchen team in Peoria, Arizona. The role focuses on food preparation, cooking, and service, reporting to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef.

Ideal candidates will have at least three years of cooking experience, a valid Food Handlers card, and the ability to read recipes and safety procedures. Flexible evenings and weekend shifts are required, with opportunities to contribute to menu specials and high guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years’ cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Master all kitchen stations, including plating and expeditor.
• Teach new staff their station assignments and standard recipes.
• Lead kitchen service, read tickets, monitor ticket times, and respond to special orders.
• Assist management with developing weekly and daily specials as needed.
• Ensure superior standards of service meet guest and employee requirements.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
