Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
• Previous supervisory or lead cook experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic and modified diets is a plus; ServSafe certification or equivalent is required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food preparation and service according to menus and diets; ensure safe handling and proper temperatures.
• Lead dietary staff during shifts; assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain sanitation, record temperatures, and report safety issues to the Dietary Manager.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, and FIFO storage to minimize waste and control costs.
