Job summary

Aventura Healthcare Group in Cincinnati is seeking a Cook Supervisor to oversee daily meal preparation and kitchen operations in accordance with dietary needs and regulations. You will lead dietary staff, ensure food safety and quality, and support the Dietary Manager with organization and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of cooking experience (hospitality/healthcare preferred), and ServSafe certification or equivalent. Full-time position with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of cooking experience, healthcare preferred.
• Supervisory or lead cook experience strongly preferred.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent required or obtainable.
• Knowledge of therapeutic/modified diets is a plus.
• Strong leadership, time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee meal preparation according to menus and physician-ordered diets.
• Lead dietary staff during assigned shifts and assign tasks.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage and sanitation per codes.
• Monitor temperatures of food and equipment; record as required.
• Assist with inventory, FIFO, and cost-conscious kitchen operations.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to the Dietary Manager.
