Job summary

Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Lead Cook for Crawford County Jail in Grayling, MI. The role requires leading meal preparations, following recipes, and ensuring safety in a structured environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, availability weekends/holidays, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training is offered for the right candidate, with on-site supervision and consistent shifts between 9:00am–6:00pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts - days and hours (between 9:00am - 6:00pm).
• Clearance approval into the facility.
• Previous food service or kitchen experience would be a plus, but we can train the right person!

Responsibilities

• Lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations including food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up.
• Ability to lead well in a structured correctional environment.
• Follow company recipes and ensure quality standards.
