Responsible for properly preparing and cooking all food items in a safe, timely, organized manner maintaining high quality of foods and demonstrating professionalism that reflects our company values. Cooks, prepares, and arranges the food to make an appealing arrangement for guests. Assures that guests have a favorable dining experience.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Produce from standardized recipes.
  • Prepare, portion, and cook food accordingly.
  • Ensure stations are prepared to meet anticipated levels of business for the day, assisting fellow staff when needed.
  • Validate all stations (including Prep).
  • Complete daily cleaning duties efficiently following sanitation guidelines.
  • Handle high volume cooking and plating while maintaining consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work hands-on with other kitchen personnel to ensure high quality of food, timely service, proper handling, and safety.
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure employee safety.
  • Work under supervision of culinary management.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination.
  • Interact occasionally with guests.
  • Abide by appearance standards.
  • Demonstrate professionalism reflecting our brand and values.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills To Help You Succeed

  • Use all kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Read and write basic instructions; knowledge of PPE.
  • Be creative with cooking and food prep.
  • Interpret production lists, menus, and banquet orders.
  • Complete accurate record keeping.
  • Know sanitation and health regulations for safe food handling.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Culinary arts courses or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a casual full-service restaurant or similar environment.
  • Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by regulatory entities.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for long periods.
  • Bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work around ovens and refrigerators.
  • Walk and stand throughout a 10-hour shift.
