Job summary

Generations at Applewood in Matteson, IL, seeks an experienced Lead Cook for a full-time role. Must have healthcare food-service experience, ServSafe Certification, and be able to pass a cook's test. The position offers 8-hour shifts (morning or afternoon/evening) with on-site work and potential advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have ServSafe Certification and be able to interpret Resident Diet Cards.
• Experience in a healthcare facility is required.
• Ability to read and interpret diet cards and follow dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Process new diet cards and print daily.
• Print menu spreadsheets, work schedules and cleaning schedules.
• Check temperature logs including sanitation and refrigeration logs.
• Follow standardized recipes in food preparation.
• Inspect dietary trays for accuracy.
• Assist dietary in special events such as holidays and BBQs.
• Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of food and supplies.
• Perform daily kitchen rounds using a 10-minute walk-through form.
• Follow work and cleaning schedules.
